Vertex Pharmaceuticals today presented long-term outcomes data for Kalydeco (ivacaftor) in patients with cystic fibrosis who have gating mutations. The data, from multiple observational studies with up to 10 years of follow-up, showed that Kalydeco maintained significant improvements in lung function and reduced pulmonary exacerbations compared to historical controls.
