Pfizer today announced results from the Phase 3 ALLEGRO trial evaluating ritlecitinib in adults and adolescents with alopecia areata. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating significantly higher rates of hair regrowth, as measured by the Severity of Alopecia Tool (SALT) score, compared to placebo at week 24. Ritlecitinib is a selective JAK3/TEC family kinase inhibitor taken orally once daily. These results led to FDA approval of Litfulo (ritlecitinib) for adults and adolescents aged 12 and older with severe alopecia areata.
