Pfizer Reports Phase 3 Results for Gene Therapy in Hemophilia A

Pfizer today announced results from the Phase 3 BENEGENE-2 trial evaluating giroctocogene fitelparvovec, an investigational gene therapy for hemophilia A. The trial demonstrated sustained factor VIII expression at levels sufficient to convert most patients from severe to mild hemophilia, with significant reductions in annualized bleeding rates.
