AstraZeneca Reports Phase 3 Results for Roxadustat in CKD-Associated Anemia

AstraZeneca today announced Phase 3 trial results for roxadustat in patients with anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD) not on dialysis. The trial demonstrated significant increases in hemoglobin levels and reductions in transfusion requirements compared to placebo. Roxadustat is a HIF-PHI that stimulates erythropoiesis through a mechanism that mimics the body's natural response to low oxygen.
