Vertex Pharmaceuticals today announced Phase 3 trial results for Trikafta (elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor) in patients with cystic fibrosis who have at least one F508del mutation. The trial demonstrated a significant improvement in ppFEV1 of 14.3 percentage points compared to placebo, along with significant reductions in sweat chloride levels and pulmonary exacerbations.
