Vertex Pharmaceuticals Reports Phase 3 Results for Trikafta in Children Aged 6-11 with CF

Vertex Pharmaceuticals today announced Phase 3 trial results for Trikafta (elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor) in children aged 6 to 11 years with cystic fibrosis who have at least one F508del mutation. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a significant improvement in ppFEV1 compared to placebo. These results led to FDA approval of Trikafta for children aged 6 and older.
