AbbVie today announced results from the Phase 3 ARMADA trial evaluating Humira (adalimumab) in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis who had an inadequate response to methotrexate. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a significantly higher rate of ACR20 response with Humira compared to placebo. These results led to FDA approval of Humira for rheumatoid arthritis.
