Pfizer Reports Phase 3 ORAL Standard Results for Xeljanz in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Pfizer today announced results from the Phase 3 ORAL Standard trial evaluating Xeljanz (tofacitinib) in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis who had an inadequate response to methotrexate. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a significantly higher rate of ACR20 response with Xeljanz compared to placebo. These results led to FDA approval of Xeljanz for rheumatoid arthritis.
