Vertex Pharmaceuticals today announced Phase 3 trial results for suzetrigine in patients with moderate-to-severe diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a significant reduction in average daily pain scores compared to placebo. Suzetrigine is a selective Nav1.8 inhibitor that blocks pain signals without the side effects associated with opioids or other pain medications.
