Vertex Pharmaceuticals Reports Phase 2 Results for Next-Generation CF Corrector

Vertex Pharmaceuticals today announced Phase 2 trial results for pozetacaftor, a next-generation CFTR corrector, in patients with cystic fibrosis who have at least one F508del mutation. The trial demonstrated significant improvements in CFTR function, as measured by sweat chloride and ppFEV1, compared to placebo. These results support the advancement of pozetacaftor into Phase 3 development.
