Vertex Reports Phase 3 subgroup analysis Data for Macitentan in Chronic kidney disease

Vertex today announced Phase 3 subgroup analysis results for Macitentan in patients with Chronic kidney disease. The study demonstrated that Macitentan provides durable benefit over long-term follow-up compared to standard of care or placebo. These results provide important insights into the treatment of Chronic kidney disease and support the continued development of Macitentan in this patient population. The data were presented at a major medical conference and will be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Regulatory submissions are planned based on these results. The safety profile of Macitentan was consistent with previous observations, with no new safety signals identified.
