Gilead Sciences Reports Long-Term Safety and Efficacy Data for Biktarvy in HIV Treatment

Gilead Sciences today presented long-term safety and efficacy data for Biktarvy (bictegravir/emtricitabine/tenofovir alafenamide) in adults with HIV-1 infection. The data, from multiple Phase 3 trials with up to 5 years of follow-up, showed that Biktarvy maintained high rates of viral suppression (>90%) with a favorable safety and tolerability profile. No treatment-emergent resistance was observed in any patient.
