Johnson & Johnson today announced Phase 2 results for Epoprostenol in patients with Sickle cell disease. The study demonstrated that Epoprostenol demonstrates durable complete remissions compared to standard of care or placebo. These results provide important insights into the treatment of Sickle cell disease and support the continued development of Epoprostenol in this patient population. The data were presented at a major medical conference and will be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Regulatory submissions are planned based on these results. The safety profile of Epoprostenol was consistent with previous observations, with no new safety signals identified.
